PiP Trader Review

General information about the forum

PiP Trader is an informational website, designed for all sorts of traders. It contains a great lot of information and claims, that it’s aim is to novice traders, seasoned traders, stock traders, futures traders and Forex traders together. It’s not wonder, that such a website has a forum. This forum participates in our rating.

Posting frequency

The users posted 1,409 posts in 127 topics in 12 forums. The ratio between the number of topics are the number of posts is normal, it means that all topics are being widely discussed and none or very few of them are not popular.
Posting frequency is a bit lower than average. There are about 3-4 messages a day sometimes, but new messages are not posted every day.
The most popular section is “Forex Trading Strategies”.

Users

The forum has 730 registered users (members). Out of these about 150 are active.
There is no information about most users ever online, but on the front page visitors can find the nickname of the newest forum member and the forum member who had posted the latest post.

There are always lots of guests on the forum.

Moderation

It is impossible to tell anything about moderators, because their nicknames are not mentioned anywhere. But they might exist, because someone is definitely moderating the forum – there is practically no spam (and no premoderation). Still, “dead” topics are not deleted or moved to a proper section.

Structure

The forum is structured well and has 5 sections and 12 subsections.
The 1st section is PiP Trader Latest News and it has only 1 subsection of the same name.
The 2nd section is General Discussion with it’s “Generally Speaking...”.
Next is Forex Trading Floor, a section, dedicated to currencies. It has traditional subsections, such as “EUR/USD”, “USD/JPY”, “GBP/USD”, “USD/CHF” and “Other Currency Pairs”.
Then comes Forex Trading Strategies and such subsections as “Forex Trading Strategies”, “Technical Analysis and Charting” and “Forex Traders Lounge”.
Finally, the forum has Equity Trading Strategies with “Equity Traders Lounge” and “Stocks, Futures, Options Desk”.

Advantages

  • The forum is well-structured.
  • There is prctically no spam.

Disadvantages

  • The forum is not active enough.
